Don't feel bad, you did the right thing. If he's in jail he won't be drinking for awhile. You would feel worse if you didn't turn him in and he killed someone! He may not turn out any better, but he should pay for what he has done. It will be worth it if your family can get some peace! I wish you all the very best and a peaceful future.

I think you did the right thing. He needs to be off of the streets before he hurts anyone else. Also, in most states while he is in jail he has to go through mandatory AA and rehab. Mandatory rehab has a decent rate of recovery. All in all it is the best way for him to get the help he needs and obviously is not getting on his own.

To turn him in was certainly the right thing to do. DUI is a serious offense, and the culprit needs to be kept off the road as well as out of your family's hair. I have no idea what will happen to him, but I hope that it is singularly unpleasant.

Who is breaking the law, you or him?

he is not a good guy is he?

if you get him locked up it will be for his own good and the satety of others

once he is 'put away' he can be helped with his drink problem

It was the right thing to do. Just remember all the poor people, especialy children who die each year because of people drinking and driving.

you needn't worry about what's going to happen to him. you should worry about what is going to happen to you! Nah, just kidding. You did what you had to do - if that is the way you were raised. More people should be as fearless of retaliation as you are and do that instead of the stop snitchin or snitches get stitches rule.
