To DIE means that the Spirit or LIFE leaves the body and the body goes underground or whatever.
The SPIRIT goes to HEAVEN or HELL.
No visiting privileges are given in either place.

When a person dies, he ceases to exist (Eccl. 9:5). The Bible states that the dead are not conscious of anything. They are likened to be in a deep sleep. When the apostles asked about Lazarus, Jesus told them he was sleeping and he was on his way to wake him up. And he did wake him up by resurrecting him. If Lazarus had gone to heaven, why would Jesus bring him back to earth if heaven is supposed to be a better place? The Bible gives us the hope of seeing our dead loved ones again in the resurrection here on earth. John 5:28, 29 speaks of a resurrection and Reveliation 21:3,4 brings out how God will do away with death.

Well, of course you're right. People may talk about 'coming back from the dead' and being declared 'officially dead' etc. etc. etc. but that just means that the rumours of their demise where premature. People seem to believe that death means the heart has stopped beating, but death really occurs when the brain and nervous system stop functioning - not being 'brain-dead' (where vital functions still continue) but where the whole system stops functioning. The heart can start and stop - or stop functioning sompletely if the person is connected to a machine.

There are two types of death. One in the separation on the body and spirit. The second is much worse. it is the total complete separation on the spirit of a person from their God. It's called the second death in the Bible. This is the fate of the damned. I claim no power to view the next world all I have is what Jesus said and my faith in Him. I know that isn't enough for the haters here, but it is enough for me...Jim

There are two deaths mentioned scripturally. The first is the body (leading to the grave), and the second is entire soul (lake of fire).
Death of the body does not render one truly dead, yes resurrection is possible in temporary or permanent modes.
