Having a relationship with god takes effort.
Every believer will tend to stray away from the lord now and then, remember we are human. What is important is that you get back up and try again. It's just like anything else that you are not commited to...playing the guitar for example. If you don't use that skill you will lose it.

Born again?

I was raised as a Baptist and fully believed what I was taught.

I only began questioning the bible and religion generally as a mature (over 30) adult.

As a result, I am an atheist.

The bible is a book of mythology and Christianity is a silly concept.

God did not come to earth and kill himself so people could sin without eternal penalty.

That is nonsense.

Atheism is the only logical choice.


PS: I became an atheist as a result of studying the issue. It had nothing to do with anger, unhappiness or any event in my life.

I have a nephew that this happened to. Something terrible happened to him in life and that made him question his beliefs & everything involving GOD. He still does not believe in HIM.

I never stopped believing.
But I've had many times where I drifted further away or closer to God.

I was for 12 yrs. then it all became clear and i abandoned the "faith" And i have never been happier.
