Think of all the marijuana dealers that would be takin off the streets. couse you could grow your own. it would be like tobacco theres no law against growing tobacco

Because no politicians or major corporations are making any money off of it, like cigarettes and liquor, at the expense of LIVES.

Cigarettes:
* Lung Cancer
* Heroin-like addiction
* Political pay-offs
* Corporate PROFITS
* Second-hand smoke

Alcohol:
* Addiction
* Fun black-outs
*Traffic fatalities (husbands, wives, children)
* Liver disease
* Political pay-offs
* Corporate PROFITS

Pot:
* Happy people
* No black-outs
* No physical addiction
* No auto deaths
* Contact highs!!!!
* DOESN'T lead to other drug use (propaganda)
* No political pay-offs (awwwwwww, darn)
* No corporate profit - the competition

To expand on what Bruce P was saying... It most certainly doesnt lead to harsher drugs. This gateway crap is a bunch of propaganda. Ive smoked for years and ist never made me want coke, speed, meth or whatever. Second cigarettes are legal and they cause lung cancer. Hell everything now a days causes some kind of cancer. Third It is not Psych addictive, and if it is cigs and alcohol are phys addictive. But the other guy had a point. If it were grown legally, which it wont because the cotton lobyists would never allow that to happen, would hinder the cotton industry.

The grow-your-own solution is not a reason. Better reason is to regulate it, like tobacco, for tax revenue and potency normalization. Yes, it should reduce crime related to the illegal trade.

it leads to more harsh drugs. it causes lung cancer too. and it IS psych. addictive
