You know people make the stupid argument that the balls and clubs are better today than they were 20 years ago but everybody has the same equipment and it was pointed out at the last tournament that Tiger was one of the last golfers to totally embrace the new technology , and look how he still has separated himself from everyone else , real golfers realize we are watching greatness , right now he is second best until he passes Jack , which I have no doubt will happen it's just a matter of time .

I think he is close to being the best of any era. I understand the diff equipment argument, but todays fields are much more competitive and to win an avg of 5 tourn every year (52 in 10 years) is astounding. Already to 50 wins a few years quicker than Jack Nicklaus, already in top 10 for number of majors and has won 5 straight tournaments TWICE. One of only 2 people to hold all 4 major trophies at the same time. Holds the scoring record in all 4 majors. Also, the past had great golfers no doubt, but none with competitors as deep as the fields today (Phil M., Vijay S., Retief G, ect.) When not if he breaks Nicklaus major record of 18 people we realize we saw not only the greatest golfer of all time, but someone who has given back to the sport with all his Charity work
