Listen: you need to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. The 45 minute thing is not true, but don't over 60 minutes at a time.

Do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.

The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!

Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.

Try a three day juice fast - This is very simple . Start the day with a glass of white pumpkin juice ( tasteless, just gulp) at 6.60 - 7 am, have a glass of green tea at 8.00 am, a glass of tomato/carrot juice at about 10.00 am, Coconut water at 11.00 am., a big glass of pineapple juice for lunch, Coconut water of lime juice at about 3.00 pm, green tea at 5 pm, any other fruit juice for dinner... If you find yourself hungry between this you can munch on an apple or cucumber. You will definitely lose 1 - 3 kgs every three days with this . This fast can be broken with a day of fresh fruits only - banana in moderation . Eat lots of pineapple, papaya and watermelon. If you need to lose mopre weight, repeat the juice fast. Replace " white" foods with brown foods. eat brown rice,brown sugar or jaggery, whole wheat bread with bran ,or whole wheat chappatis with bran mixed in the flour ...

Try cutting on sugars, sodas like coke , chocolates and anything white like rice, white bread ..instead try brown rice , wheat stuff . Initially it must help you cutting a few pounds. rest try jogging for 30 mins regularly .
