Just got a new computer and it has 1GB of RAM. Just installed Photodeluxe 2.0, and the specs say it requires 16MB RAM. However, when I try to open it, it says there isn't enough RAM. I checked on the Windows Task Manager, physical memory shows 1039344, and available is 660128. What could be happening? How to correct this?

Photodeluxe 2.0 how old is this program? In the old days where was two types of ram extended RAM and expanded RAM and various programs where used to emulate one or the other. emm386 is the one that comes to mind. Try getting an updated version of photodeluxe. I know they are up to 4.0 now.

As this program is a windows 95 program you may need to try running the install in compatability mode. It may not be worth the trouble, find a similar program designed for newer systems.

This sounds actually like you have too many things running on your computer at once. If you don't personally have anything open, look at the task bar and close the things you aren't using. If this still doesn't fix the issue enough, download and run ad-aware, spybot, and avast anti-virus. These will clean up spyware, adware and viruses that you may have gotten on your computer.

you are able to load abode windows into plenty much less RAM than some classes require to run. in case you're working XP, you will desire to have an absolute minimum of 1GB. Vor Vista, make it 2GB. and that's just to be able to load classes, to no longer run them with any form of velocity. counseled minimum is 2GB for XP and 4GB for Vista.
