You have to look at culture. Women before modern times didn't go to school. We were not to be educated. We stayed home, we married, we had kids. The end. Women are now raised that education is important. The majors we woman choose are usually liberal arts or business. I rarely see women engineers or doctors. HOWEVER, this does not show women are less smart. I think men and women think very differently. Men are run by ego (and I'm not talking about the derogatory term) and women are run by emotion and instinct. We play cards very different ways.

Are we less smart because we're not engineers? Not chemists? Women are as smart, but you only see them as teachers, nurses, dancers, accountants, etc. You don't see the women who do all the things men do and are better at it. We have persuasion skills men do not posses. Our intuition is much keener. I'm a math major, I bet I could kick your *** with the things that I know. Not all men can be math majors, so does that mean I'm smarter than all those men? No, just smarter at THAT area. Goes both ways.

I will give you that men are stronger. All the strongest women cannot beat all the strongest men. (Obviously this is general, if there was a flexibility part, we'd win.) It's called genetics. Yes men can handle their emotions better, we can't help it. But then, women can handle their sexual hormones.

Men are smarter? Why are most criminals men, "generally"? Most rapists? Most murderers? Really? That much smarter eh? ;)

It's all opportunity, and drive. And the fact that for years women have been taught that school is unnecessary, and men have been the ones telling us this. I think you're just scared. Pansies.

EXCUSE ME? Since When? Since Who Said?

Men and women's brains and body chemicals ARE very different. Thus while there may be truly innate differences between them - who is to say which is "smarter" than the other - Men excel in some matters and women in others. Men dominate some fields and women others. Most of the career differences are due to cultural biases in the way boys & girls are steered or not steered into the hard sciences, for example. Also - for many many years it was only culturally acceptable for a woman to be a nurse or teacher or secretary etc. This has changed in recent years to a fair extent but the impact is still around.

Some women are conditioned to minimize their native intelligence to "catch" a man. Some men are conditioned to discount women's intelligence. See below for a true story from my life which illustrates this!

Generally speaking, women are smarter than men. They score higher on IQ tests, and there are more women in college today than men. Men are all about sex and aggression. Take a look at the prison population.
Also women will sometimes hide their intelligents to protect your fragile male egos.

Thats like asking why aren't blacks as smart as whites. One one group is not smarter than the other. Some individuals are smarter, some individuals are dumber. You probably met a few dumb women, but that doesn't mean they're all dumb. I rarely run into people of full intelligence in general.

I'm going to answer this question with another question, why is it that women in general are more good looking then men??? Do you have some facts to prove that men are smarter? I mean the only reason why men have power its because they are stronger and a lot of the times us women don't have a say in anything so until you have proof to back up ypur statement SHUT UP!!!!

PS the latest GCSE results (UK only) Prove that women got higher results then men in their exams thus university results prove the same in fact its been the highest ever, so there's your proof you male chauvinist

What are you using as a measure of intelligence? IQ Tests? Common Sense? Spatial Reasoning? Abstract Reasoning? Generally speaking, gender has no bearing on overall intelligence. It does, however, have a bearing on some levels of abstract thinking. As a rule, men are better at abstract thinking and women are better at concrete thinking.

I'm afraid you have been misinformed. Women are as smart. My IQ is higher than my brother and my ex-husband. I am also more successful than both of them.
Perhaps some men are smarter than some women, but generally speaking men are no more smarter than women.
If men were smarter, why do women live longer?

IQ exams are doubtful and don't something to degree the actually "intelligence" of a guy or woman, which would be measured in lots of techniques in lots of aspects, inclusive of memory, undertaking fixing, awareness, good judgment, and expertise because of the countless meanings of the word "intelligence." IQ exams do no longer cover each and all the above, yet particularly mere undertaking-fixing and, in maximum circumstances, good judgment. although, to respond to your question, while asking a "familiar" question, you will desire to state the rule of thumb to which the familiar question applies. for instance, are you "often" speaking out of your very own adventure with men or women folk, are you basing your "familiar" suggestions-set on data, it is what i assume, thinking you published IQ try outcomes as your premise? If the former, please word that private adventure does not denote a trouble-free reality relating to the intelligence of guys and girls folk. If the latter, the "familiar" assumption may be actual, because it denotes extensive-reaching reality. the two way, to even deliver mutually if women folk are extra clever ability we would desire to before everything use a similar definition of "clever," then, in line with that one that ability, deliver mutually valid counsel that demonstrates the intelligence between persons of the two genders, and make appropriate comparisons.

That's a pretty stupid, ignorant and flame-baiting kind of sexist remark. You bored?

Women and men have different kinds of intelligence, men tend to be a bit better at math and spatial things, women tend to be better at language and creative things. There is a lot of overlap.

Girls's grades in high school tend to be better than boys, there are more women in University than men, and Medical schools on average now have more females than males.

So, I think you're statement, generally speaking, is just plain wrong and misinformed.
