How do you become a spirit medium or somebody that can communicate with the dead?

Do you have to be born with the ability or can you learn it?

Who said anything about Satan? And how do you explain it when these people that can do it get names and dates correct?

I would recommend a book called "The complete book of Spirit Communication" by raymond buckland. It explores the various ways to contact spirits. It is set up like a textbook with exercises and questions. I would also recommend getting a book on meditation. Meditation will help you to focus and balance yourself to recieve the information from the spirits.

No one can REALLY communicate with the DEAD. You can only communicate with spirits, which are not of the dead that we know. But they are familiar spirits, who know OF our passed relatives and friends.
Unless you are asking "How can I become a medium like the ones I see on infomercials or in the little house/shops in my town?", then the answer is - you only have to learn how to read PEOPLE, or "fish" for the answers that they want to know. Do some Google searches, or pick up some books in your library to study these "people skills", then practice on your friends. You'll be raking in the dough in no time!

No matter what anyone else tells you, there is no such information. And that's because there has never been a confirmed case of any such event, under any circumstances. Thus you will be inventing a brand new profession. But then you'd have to prove you're the first person in history to pull it off. Good luck.

Leviticus 19:31 states: “Do not turn to mediums or seek out spiritists, for you will be defiled by them…”. Leviticus 20:6 says: “I will set my face against the person who turns to mediums and spiritists to prostitute himself by following them, and I will cut him off from his people.” Deuteronomy 18:12 says that consulting mediums or channeling the dead is “detestable.” Clearly, God sees these practices as sinful and completely without benefit.

Saul, a powerful king of Israel, finally reached the end of his tragic fall away from God when he involved himself in channeling. Saul chose to seek answers from a medium when God didn’t provide him the answers he wanted. In 1 Samuel 28:6-20, Saul asks a psychic to summon the spirit of the prophet Samuel. His grave error is mentioned later in Chronicles 10:13-14, which emphasizes that Saul’s involvement in it was wrong: “he [Saul] was unfaithful to the Lord, he did not keep the word of the Lord, and even consulted a medium for guidance, and did not inquire of the Lord…”

As Christians, we ought to seek God’s answers to our questions. Although most so-called mediums are actually frauds who use memory tricks, planted accomplices, and special effects to fool people. Those that are not frauds are cooperating with dangerous spiritual beings. Satan’s henchmen are adept at appearing as helpful spirits, making it easy for them to confuse and corrupt people who open themselves up through channeling.

The dead are all around us. You just have to have to ability to see them. The right word is the AWARENESS... to see them. You have to educate yourself to a higher level of consciousness and awareness. Only then you will be able cu communicate with the dead, but it might be not what you expect, so don't be disappointed.
