It is as far as we know. No evidence has been provided to show that is has any negative effects on the human body so far.

If you eat Splenda you are acting as a guinea pig in a science experiment since no one knows what the long-term effects of Splenda will be.

Yes - This week I started to diet and cut out all the pastries,

sugar drinks, etc. I am about 30 lbs. overweight. It is

worse to be overweight. The lab tests on rats are unreliable

because they give the test animals way more than a person

would ever consume.

Splenda is an artificial sweetner. The terms artificial and healthy are not usually used together.

I believe it is bad for you. I may be wrong, but Natural sugar seems like the better alternative. Your body can digest it easier b/c it IS natural and not synthetic. It's like everything else... moderation is the key.

Its not un-healthy.
It is a normal sugar molecule with a chlorine atom added on. This is why they say it is "made with sugar so it taste like sugar"

Chlorine might sound scary, but remeber you eat chlorine in sodium chloride (table salt) all the time.

You just wouldn't want to eat it in sodium hypochlorite (household bleach) for example.

Hope that helps the confusion.

It's not. It's good in theory, but you're body can't digest it. Sugar Alchohol is bad for you. It has many side effects. Google it.
