Yes, but it was only for a week or so. The day after we brought him home, I just started blubbering, and my husband did not know what to do. Lol....poor guy. I made it out OK...it is just something that happens.

I did. Baby blues are very common after you have a child but if it persists I suggest you go see your primary care physician and he/she will refer you to a psychiatrist to talk to so that you can work out your issues and be put on some meds that will help your chemical imbalance.

Post partum depression is different for each individual and everybody works there difficulties out in different ways so I can't really say for sure what you should do other than talk to someone. The sooner you take that first step the easier it will be and it won't turn into anything else and you will be healthy enough to be the greatest mom you could be!

If you are suffering from a postpartum depression I strongly suggest you seek professional help. A depression is very, very painful and you shouldn't have to live with it or wait until it wears out. Go to your physician or find a licensed psychologist or psychiatrist for help.
Best wishes for you and your child.

Yes with my second one. I just roared at everything and everyone for no reason! I found that if I kept busy it helped, and that wasn`t difficult with another two year old who I was trying to potty train. It can effect some women really bad though. If this happens your G.P. will prescribe you something that will do the job of ridding the postnatals.

YES!! With both kids. It was so frustrating. Here I had this beautiful baby and I couldn't stop crying and thinking terrible, improbable thoughts about the baby's safety. It lasted longer with my first born. It's really important to communicate with your friends, family, doctor about how you are feeling so you can get some support.

yes,it can last a short time or a long time.it can come and go thru out your childs life until they get out.I take medicine because being a single parent keeps mine triggered.Take time out for your self while the baby is sleeping.

No, but I had a lot to handle so I didn't really have time to think. You should get some help from your doctor with that. Best of Luck!
