It really bothers me that so many troops are: fighting for nothing, dieing for nothing, getting seriously injured for nothing, being psychologically traumatized for nothing, and being seperated from your loved ones for nothing over the war in Iraq.We are losing human and monetary resources at a tremendous rate and the situation in Iraq is not improving. We build a bridge or a school one day and it is bombed a week later. Some Iraqis want us there, the great majority don't. It appears that the only people who are benefiting from the war are Contracted civilians who get paid up to 6 times what you make and you are the ones in harms way. The other ones who are benefitting are the Bush administration and his posse getting kickbacks from the Civilian contracted companies. Military members have no right to question authority. You are given orders and you follow them. The military spreads all kinds of propoganda to make you feel like you are fighting for a legitimate reason.God bless you

There is something other than helping Iraqies achieve freedom, taking place over there. Being in a conflict for more than 4 years, with nothing much accomplished, at hugh cost to our treasury and continued major loss of life and casualties to both Our troops and the civil population should have triggered a change in direction. It hasn't ! The same old , same old, continues, & that points to something other than resolving and finalizing this campaign in Iraq. We are bleeding and our government is allowing the bleeding to continue ..unabated. WHY ? Certain Interest are gaining something out of the continuation of this conflict with no timetables and no clear cut goal to ending it! REAL WARS ARE FOUGHT WITH A GOAL OF WINNING AND A TIMETABLE FOR THAT VICTORY. It has become an open ended project with out a budget and with out a completion date. That is a loosing combination in any endeavor!

The military isn't given propaganda. And yes, we believe in what we're doing. The problem with most Americans is that they don't see the other side of the war that we do. The news doesn't want you to see that. You don't see the Iraqi's embracing the soldiers. You don't see the kids going to school that never did before. You don't see women freely walking the streets. You don't see people being allowed to vote. You don't see so much more. Yes, the loss of American lives is hard to take, but it's the job they signed up to do. It's not just "taking orders". It's your job. You can't join and believe you'll never go to war. You're wrong about the majority not wanting us there. The majority DO want us there. The insurgents are the minority and are being supported by Syria and Iran. We're doing a great job at keeping them to a minimal amount. We are fighting for a legitimate reason. Perhaps you and other Americans would prefer it happened on American soil again, like WTC?? There were WMD's. There was and is a reason. Saddam was a terrorist. Bush is no warmonger, but he has his beliefs. There's nothing wrong with that. It's better than past presidents who've cut the military down to nothing and let other countries take advantage of us like the USS Cole and the WTC the first time. At least Bush supports the troops and believes in them instead of cutting them down. If that didn't answer your question, yes, we believe Bush as the right intentions in Iraq. Stop believing all the biased news reports and propaganda that his opponents are putting out there. There is a reason and most, but not all I'm sure, believe in it or they wouldn't join. All this of course is a my personal opinion. Others will give theirs. However, I'm not a brainwashed family member and do have my opinion.

To start with, war time is not the only time US Military families are separated. It's just the only time the rest of you hear about it! And believe it not, it's also not the only time the Military is put in serious danger. Anytime they enter a another country, they are put at risk. Do you recall the USS Cole bombing? We certainly weren't fighting this war then, yet the terrorist still pulled one of their suicide missions and succeeded in taking the innocent lives of seventeen of our US Sailors, and seriously injuring thirty nine others. We live in Italy where my husband is stationed, and though it's pretty unlikely that anything would happen to us here by the normal everyday Italian, we are still told to take caution and aren't even allowed in certain areas because it's too risky. Terrorist have been linked to many European Countries, and they would love nothing more then to kill a US Military member or their families if they come across us.
I can't speak for everyone in the Military or their families, but I can tell you my Military husband believes that the President's intentions are good, and I feel the same. I've heard all the stories and theories on this subject, and I will never be convinced that President Bush is doing this because it somehow benefits him. This isn't about oil, it's not about the President trying to cover up his involvement in 9/11....All these stories are ridiculous.
As far as I'm concerned, just capturing Saddam was worth going into Iraq. And every terrorist and extremest that our Military kills or arrest makes their mission successful, so they are defiantly not dying in vain.

I does support Bush. It really bothers me that so many people can't speak properly and then trash our President and our troops. They ARE fighting for something and they ARE dieing for something. They are doing it for YOU. I think Bush could have done a better job explaining the war to the public and should of said some thing a lot earlier then he did. If he would of done this so many people wouldn't be calling him a liar.

Sorry my friend, but speaking as a senior noncommissioned officer in the Air Force, I can tell you that we are not at liberty to comment on our personal opinions regarding our elected leaders or any of the decisions they have made. To do so may constitute giving an opinion on behalf of the U.S. Armed Forces. I don't get paid enough to talk for the troops.

We were attacked before 9/11 several times even before bush took office.who is there to protect us if not for the military and someone to say enoughs enough, what if your parents didn't protect you from the neighborhood or school bully ,because i know you would not have the courage to fight back.thank god for the brave men and woman who volunteered for service.not just this war but all wars where our service was/is needed.and if by chance you did fight back how many time would you allow yourself to be hit first?or would you say it's all your parent fault they need to understand the bully if they did you wouldn't be getting bet up,the thing is it wouldn't matter they still want to beat you up just because they want to.we needed to ake the fight to the enemy not the other way around.
