I agree with Jessie.
I've been married 8 years, and when we are out without our kids, people have asked us if we were on our honeymoon or recently married.

While the term usually refers to the first year, I think that people can still be "newlyweds" for as long as they want. It's all in the mind.

As long as you can sit in the same room with the same person for over 30 years and not have to say a word and feel so comfortable and the other is your still newlyweds when you love having sex a couple of times a week ;-) and then cuddle up together and take a nap.

As long as possible. Some couples may be married years and still feel like newlyweds. It is a state of mind and it is great to prolong it as long as possible.

I've always said 1 year, but apparently "The Newlyweds Show" allows couples who have been married up to two years. I figure once you've hit the one year anniversary, "real life" (whatever that is) has probably set in.

Who says you have to stop?

I have been married almost 10 years, we have 3 kids and we're still like newlyweds.

I've been married 3+ yrs and we've been together for 9+. We've got 2 kids...and we STILL are in the honeymoon stage. As long as you keep that spark alive I think you can have that feeling forever!

For as long as you want to be. It's going on 5 years for my husband and me.

I think you lose the title after your 1-year anniversarry... but that doesn't mean the feelings have to change!!!
