My boyfriend is talking to a girl he was friends with in high school 7 years ago. Thy talk on IM all the time and sometimes on the phone. Shes not pretty, has a child, and is married. He hasn't hidden it from me and will answer any question i have about her. He says that if i were in the same situation he wouldnt worry, which he hasn't but i still HATE THE *****! Am i right?

You have the right to be jealous...Even if she isn't all that and a bag of chips like you... You are a WOMAN and that's what we do go shopping..shopping and get jealous whenever our men talk to chicks. If he's honest with you I don't see a problem..it's only normal to hate it...

don't be jealous but i can also see your point. I would be suspicious about t he sudden reunion too if I were in your place!
This is also taking time away from you and your boyfriends relationship and I would be annoyed with that too.
I would personally not approach the situation from a jealous, why are you talking to her type of standpoint but rather a "i would like to see more of you and spend quality time together" standpoint. He can't get defensive about that, can he?
I am also curious as to why is he talking to her, if they don't actually have a maintained friendship then why the reunion all of a sudden?
whatever you do, i would not put him on the defense and give him the grand Inquisition about this. Although it might not hurt to find am im buddy of your own, or at least make it seem that way to him. He may not like the time away from you and understand where you are coming from??

Sounds like he's being completely honest and above board with you on this one. Jealousy comes from insecurity, so what are you insecure about? Do you not trust him? Do you think this other woman has some sort of hidden agenda? Do you feel like maybe you're not worthy of him or a good relationship?
It really is possible for men and women to be JUST friends with each other. If you're having a problem with this friendship, look within to find the source of the problem...

Honestly, I don't think there is anything going on between them but if they start meeting and hanging out, then I would be concerned a little bit. But I hear what you're saying, if my bf was talking to another woman alot, I would be jealous. Emotional cheating is just as bad as the physical kind.

I would be mad at first and honestly wouldn't like the idea of them talking, but if he's telling you right off the bat and not keeping it from you then you shouldn't be jealous. But if it really bothers you i think you should tell him. And if he's understanding then he will stop. What does he talk aboout with her that he can't talk to you about? Now that a questoon you should be asking....

In my opinion if he has you and is happy with you then why does he need to chat with her? It doesn't matter if she's ugly with children and married if they talk all the time they may build a bond with each other and decide to be together. He may have been honest and upfront... but i wouldn't want to deal with it.

I understand, she's intruding on your time and space, but maybe they are just friends but you should still let him no that there is a limit to what you should do with another female (friend or not) when you are in a relationship. Just out of respect.

I don't think you should be jealous. He talks to her in front of you and answers all your questions about her. You should be worried if he was doing it behind your back. Now that's another story.

is it wrong that your boyfriend it talking to an old friend of his. is he not aloud to be friends with girls. maybe he wanted to catch up with her and talk the old times. no you shouldn't be jealous i mean she has a child and married
