You could go to www.spiritessence.com. Dr Jean Hovfe has a "Bully Remedy" that you could use with the male cat. It costs $16.95, no shipping, handling or taxes. Directions come with the bottle.

It is inexpensive and could be a solution to your problem. Her instructions say to give the essence internally and I have a question about that. I use Rescue Remedy and other essences and I simply put them on the cat's fur between their ears. This is easier and just as effective.

If your local health foods store carries a full line of the Bach flower essences, Vine is the one you would use on your cat. I am sure Dr. Hovfe has Vine in her remedy, she adds a lot of other essences too. I am not sure which would work better and one or the other would be worth a try.

I do not have enough information. Are they neutered/spayed? Is the female spayed and the male not? If that is so, then the male ct wants to mate but does not know why the female does not want to.

Have they been together long? If not, then there is a time element involved when one has to prove dominance over the other..In the cat world(in a household) and you have several cats... there will Always be a dominant cat and they decide that among themselves

my fixed boy kitten did the same thing to my fix 4 year old girl while playing around he would be too rough and cause punture marks. But they were also the best of friends and slept on my bed together and stuff. If you cat is young its because he has a lot of enegry and doesnt seem to realize hes causing pain. If theya re not fixed then obviously that is a problem. I would keep them apart if he cant be nice to her=)

My male also does this to my female, and they're both fixed. And now that you mention this, you just made a lightbulb go off in my head; she has bumps on the back of her neck! Damn cats. Lol.

Spray him with water when he does it. That's what I'm gonna start doing to Blaze now that I know where those bumps on Lotus came from.

(Better yet, I'm going to try what Old Cat Lady just recommended.)

he's either asserting dominance or is a vampire.

try either a flea collar on her for a spell, or a garland of garlic around her neck. Either way, he'll be displeased at the scent or taste. And are the cats fixed, or still "intact"? That could make the difference too as unfixed pusses may still exert pheromones that may lead to mating behaviour.

My male cat does the same thing. Both my boy and girl are neutered, but he still "rapes" her with regularity. I tell him "no means no" but he doesn't listen. I tell him its an exercise in futility but that doesn't stop him. Get a nice thick canvas-sy collar and that will keep him from the biting her neck.

Separate them.. Is there a certain time that htis happens or is it all the time? My male & female cats both fixed do that every once in a while but they are just playing. i would call the vet and see if there could be anything wrong.

A male cat bites the female in the neck to show his dominance and as a way of controling her during mating. If he is doing this, then unless she is spayed, she will be coming into heat. Getting hes spayed is the only way to stop him.

Its real simple. Boy n Girl. He's wanting to get it on w/her, and she's just taking it. Frankly, i dont think its wise to get a female and male cat as pets. BTW the firing blanks comment is the best comment here.

he is not abusing her so stop worrying it is just natures way. they do that when they want to made if she is on heat and you keep watching you will see that she is flirting in some way by curling around on the floor in front of the male and make funny prrr... noises.
