What do you think I would do if they landed in my backyard?
How do you think some of the other regulars here in yahoo answers religion and spirituality section would handle that developement in their back yard? (Can't mention anyone by name but we are ripping on one specific fundamentalist Christian on my 360, oh the poor old man, why not ask that poor old man).

I like the idea of peaceful aliens. I would hope they landed in my backyard rather than an ignorant inbred person's yard who would shoot at them at first sight. I would do the best I could to represent America and the civilized world to them, assumeing this is their first contact with us. I would get pictures of them with me and their ship. I would ask for a trip in space, for sure. They could do some non-invasive tests if they like, but no anal probes, if I have any say in it. LOL
I would be open to interspecies freaky stuff too, because if ever asked I would say I was unconscious the whole time. LOL

Given that alien species, even peaceful ones, could unintentionally represent a threat because of any alien viruses they might carry; given that communication would probably be difficult and that misunderstanding was highly probable; and given that, in this scenario, there is some kind of spacecraft most likely irradiating my backyard, my house, and my self: I would call the police and report an intruder. Then I would leave and let the authorities figure out what to do next.

I would want to ask them a million questions and see their spaceship and home planet. I would want to know if there are others different from us and them. I would want to know what ways they could benefit us and our world and vice versa.
If may be beneficial to our society to breed with them if possible and make a stronger being.
I would guess most of the people here in the U.S. would shoot them before finding out if they are a threat. Too many hillbilly's afraid of change and progress. Ignorant people are afraid of what they don't understand which often times leads to destruction.
In time we would eliminate these people thru proper alien breeding and other means necessary.

It would scare me to pieces,I don't really know what I would do.I do know that there are other bodies on other planets or worlds,anyone that thinks that we are the only ones are ignorant of the word of God.

Whatever I think I would do, I probably wouldn't do. I wouldn't ask if he were Jesus or a God of Scientology, or a Mormon Celestial bride or groom. I think Depends might enter the picture.

*Thanks for the smile, I know what you're talking about.* Anyway, If they were peaceful, well I'd invite them in for a drink or something...and all the while I'd be praying, asking God what the purpose if their landing is for, and what I need to be doing to be working in His purpose, as I always do.
