I'd probably grab the family and some bottled water and try to drive out into the country in hopes of surviving it.

I like this question because sometimes I wonder about exactly the same.

Well, let's imagine I have one hour left.

Right now, the sun is shining. I am calling the persons I love, my close family, and tell them about the "bad" news.

I am lucky: the phone line isn't busy yet.

I tell them I come to see them, a few miles away from where I am now.

(I don't switch off the computer. I don't care - lol.

I go outside, jump in my car - I can hear some screams outside, first signs of panick.

I am driving like a rocket for 15 minutes, until I arrive. More and more people getting mad on the road, losing control of themselves.

Anyway, I can meet the most precious of my life. We stay together.

And suddenly, the flash happens: those damn journalists were wrong. We had only 20 minutes left - lol

Then: nothing. We instantaneously died, without suffering. At least, we didn't need to be incinerated for funerals: we already are - lol)

Do ALL of us know?

If so, the telephone lines would be busy.

If I could get through, I'd call my family. I'd want to put the positive message of my love for them in their hearts before we all died.

If the lines were too busy and I couldn't contact my family members (who aren't right with me), I would be content knowing that I have recently told them how I feel.

Then, I'd gather my family together and discuss the situtation.
Is the source of this end-of-the-world warning reliable?
Where is the safest (quickest) place to be?

An hour is a long time to travel.
It's a long time to gather all available food and water.
Time enough to get dressed to survive.
To notify the neighbors and offer help.

In situtations that you have warning about, you must
do your best to help yourself and others.
Then, you must allow the world to turn as it will.

Do not give up.
Do not despair.

I don't know. I'd grab my son and pray the rosary until whatever is going to happen happens. I'd call my husband, my mom, and my sister. I'd call my grandma and grandpa.

I'd be getting my ducks in a row as best I could. If there was time, depending on if everyone knew the impending attack or not...I'd grab my son and pickup hubby on the way to the airport. I'd get the company jet and get outta here. One blast won't destroy the world.

And, who is reporting the story? Is it FOX news? CNN? Or, the National Enquirer? Or, just one of Pat Robertson's 'converstaions' with God?

I would probably sit and do the same thing I am doing now. I would tell everyone that I love them then go back to my computer. *shrugs* What else could I do in an hour that would make that much of a difference? Oh, I would probably empty out my stocked bar...no sense in it going to waste. ;)

Gather my family together, make a couple quick calls to loved ones that could not gather, make sure that everyone knew that I loved them, spend a few moments in prayer, make peace with myself... maybe have a beer and just try to make sure that everyone was calm and relaxed and ready. Whether planned or expected or sudden, we will all have that last day, so how cool would be for it to happen all at once, and we could be together?

I would try to go somewhere that would not be a target right away to escape with my family. Even if I knew I wouldn't have enough time, I would have to try to save myself and them anyways.
Or if I knew that there was no escape, and my loved ones didn't know it was coming, I'd keep it a secret and take them somewhere fun, like swimming, or other fun activities, so their last moments would be happy and with me.

Wouldn't believe it, because the Bible says Armageddon will be brought by The Lord... and not by anything man has created.

Not the kind of answer you wanted i'm sure....

What does this question have to do with Religion & Spirituality, anyway?

That would be terrible! I wouldn't have enough time to find any drug-trafficker. So I'd probably go to the nearest shop, buy ABSOLUT VODKA and a pack of MARLBORO LIGHTS and get seriously drunk.
