According to the Bible, the road to heaven starts with an understanding that we are sinners. And that as sinners we a separated from God. God sent His Son Jesus Christ as our salvation. Our believe in Him and our resignation to Him as Lord is our salvation.

John 14:6
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

According to Christians, good works alone won't get you into heaven, though historically there has been some debate on this subject. As far as I am familiar with doctrine, one must acknowledge JC as lord and savior in order to go to heaven. Maybe JC himself would agree with this, maybe not. Who knows?
But I don't think that acknowledgement (being "saved") would alone be enough. I think it requires charity, compassion, humility, etc. too. The bible says that JC said that it's easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of god. That says something for selflessness, or sacrificing one's material wealth in order to gain spiritual wealth.

According to the Bible, only faith in Christ will get you to heaven. We do good works because we love God, not to be loved by Him.

No sir! We are saved by grace (Jesus dying on the cross to pay for our sins). As the Bible says, We are saved by grace alone, not works (good deeds). There is no one worthy. No, not one! If we had to earn our way to heaven we would never get there. The one sure way to get to heaven is as easy as ABC. A) Admit to God that you have sinned. B) Believe that Jesus died for you. C) Confess (tell others) that Jesus Christ is the son of God. Easy! :-) All you gotta do is believe....

No, as far as I've heard you have to either:
1. Not sin.
2. Pray to Jesus, tell him you repent for your sins and ask for forgiveness.
So just being a good person isn't going to get you into Heaven (if it exists at all; I'm an atheist).

no, not according to Jesus and what he said in the new testament. Faith gets you in. There are no good people....good enough, that is. So, accepting Christ as your savior is the only way.
