That's a good question Mathew 28:18 "The Great Commission"
calls on use to baptize in the name of the Father and the Son and Holy Spirit. I can not understand why they wouldn't.
Now keep in mind that salvation isn't dependent on baptism so I don't think this is as big of a deal as some make of it.
Also keep in mind the idea of a triune Godhead. I think you might be thinking of them as separate entities and not as a triune God. I know it's a hard concept to understand. When we pray for example we pray with the Holy Spirit to the Father through the Son.

Hello holyghost130.. :)
Matthew 2
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
We do baptise in the Mighty name of Jesus..for forgiveness of sins.. :)
In Jesus Most Precious Name..
With Love..In Christ.. :)

Matthew 28:19, "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:"
People are commanded to baptize in the name of the Father (God the Father), Son (God the Son) and Spirit (God teh Holy Spirit.) That is how it's done.

They DO baptize in His name. The "Father", the "Son" (that one is Jesus) and the "Holy Ghost" (or Spirit.) It's a trinity and Jesus is part of it.... C'mon man!!

Never heard of a Christian not baptizing in Jesus' name.
Of course it is usually Father, Son and Holy Ghost, but Jesus is never omitted.

Often names and titles are and were interchangeable. Using Jesus' name is powerful, but no less powerful is invocation through some of His many varied titles.

I can't explain that one for you. I know what the Scripture says about doing things in Jesus' name, so I can't understand the basis for straying away from the literal interpretation.

You are right, Christians do not read their scriptures close enough. Christ also told us to pray to the Father and not to Him.
see Matt. 5:9, John 16:23,24,26
