It's cold, but not too bad. It's usually -10 or in really cold days, -20 and snows. I'm Korean and was living there as a child. There was enough snow to make a full snowman. My happy days...

Sorry but "ah'stee'ah'dil'g" must be from someplace that really isn't very cold. I am from Southern Ontario and lived in Northern Ontario for 5 years. Yes it is cold, but not that cold. Comparing the 2 or 3 feet of snow at home to the few inches that they get here is nice, no shoveling the walk here. Plus it is about a maximum of - 5 here compared to the -30 I have experienced at home. Really not too bad, in fact for someone from my climate, a nice break. Winter here can be icy, and the roads can be a little dangerous. Firstly most people here don't know how to drive in the winter, some don't know how to drive in general, but they have a licence. Secondly, they neither plow, nor salt or sand the roads. It takes extreme weather conditions to lead to that. 2 winters here so far, and I have never seen them snowplow, sand or salt. It is more of a dry cold than anything, so be prepared to use lots of lip balm and hand cream, and wear a hat, scarf and gloves cause the wind can pick up a bit. Otherwise not a bad climate, I like winters here so much more than at home.
