Both of the other answers were right on: you may also want to contact the Chicago Childrens Choir in Chicago... they may have some recommendations that would be appropriate for a young singer. Good Luck!

Call the universities and community colleges in your city, ask for the Head of the music department and ask him/her for suggestions.

Who ever you find... Make sure they teach correct breathing, give exercises and enforce them as weekly or nightly parts of their lesson plans that include scales and breathing, teach how the human voice works and have respectable, checkable references.
