Hi, rOck! Yoga and walk both are good for fitness. Yoga has more advantages than walk. Yoga not only tones up the parts of the body as a whole but it adds rhythm to the structure and functions of the body. Yoga is useful to all irrespective of their age and stage. Walk is a primary and very common exercise which suits to one and all. It doesn't need any training and practice. It can be done by anyone and at any time. Let's not make any comparison between the two. Training is essential for doing yoga and not so in the case of walk. Whenever we find enough time we can do both and there is no harm in doing so.

Yoga burns around 244 calories per hour which isn't far off what you burn by walking briskly, but walking works your heart and lungs and burns more fat.
Yoga is not a great cardiovascular or fat-burning activity, but it is excellent for improving flexibility and muscle strength. Some think doing yoga on a regular basis helps balance the function of the thyroid, so helping with your weight.
I think a bit of both probably works best.
