I've done the obvious and went to the doctor and he told me they weren't warts or an STD. I have these small white bumps on my finger. They started on my pointer finger and didn't do much but slowly repopulate around the knuckle. Recently it's started spreading throughout my hand. They don't hurt, it's like dead tissue and slightly portrudes from the skin. Since I'm in the Army the doctors suck really bad. They said they would call back and never did. Is there anyway I can figure out what it is?

Sounds like what my mom had... she was told it was an allergic reaction to something. Only problem is she doesn't know what she's allergic to. I suggest you do what she did and have an allergy test done. They put a strip on your back and you leave it on for 2 days (I think), it has a small amount of typical allergins on it, and when you go back they take it off and see what you had a reaction to. If you can't get the doctor to do that then try to cut out different things, like gloves (some people are alergic to laytex), or try wearing gloves if you use cleaning products alot... ect. Other than that try Medicated Lotion, and don't itch or rub the affected area.

Good Luck.

There are no liquids or gels allowed on the plane. Medications are allowed on the plane but only with Doctors Prescriptions. You can try to get a doctor to write you a letter on thier stationary and have the airline agents document the information i nthe record, but techinically, it's not allowed and they will not let you take it on board. It will all depend on the agent at the gate.

I would ask for a referral if it is a major problem for you ... to expedite a cure or relief. Otherwise, putting a topical such as neosporin or hydro-cortisone, over-the counter meds, can help if they have symptoms for healing, and itching.

Use some of your money to see a private dermatologist. Sounds like an infection.
