I need to know if there is a District of Columbia, city in Washington.

It's confusing isn't it. Washington, D.C. is our capital city. The D.C. part means District of Columbia. It's not a part of any state, it's located between Maryland and Virginia on the East Coast (Middle Atlantic) of the United States. The state of Washington is on the Northwest Coast of the United States.

The District of Columbia is not in any state. It's the District of Columbia. It's not a city. It does, however, have zip codes. It can be found in a zip code directory at your post office or at the United States Postal Service website online.

No District of colmbia is not a named city or county. It's Washington D.C. go to the usps.gov thats the post office website
