I hadn't experienced it since I was 18, so a year ago I would have answered this by saying "don't be stupid, infatuations will change to love and breathless moments are only achieved by running real fast" but no.. I've remembered what it feels like, and you are absolutely right.

For this reason alone, I have the courage to stretch my wings. I had forgotten that feeling of exhilaration and to be reminded of that breathless, spontaneous, feeling is the highlight of my existence.
The beauty and significance of what surrounds us, and resides fundamentally within us, can take my breath away. To find there is a person who holds my hand admiring the same view is beyond such bliss as I could ever imagine...

I don't think so yet, but the closest would be the first time I had a real kiss by someone I really cared for. I was lite up for weeks just for that one kiss.

Nice saying. Quality over quantity.

you didn't opt to share your occasion..

I have had that happen to me.. When we walked in to our new home.. and knowing it was ours! What a dream home! 4,000 sq ft, inground pool, hot tub room, full basement, a kitchen and fireplace to die for! It was surreal.. to know that my husband and I have worked very hard to make our dream a reality. I still drive up my hillside in awe.. just amazed by it.. living our dream and knowing we'll watch our children grow up in this home. It still chokes me.
