Hi. I'm using a Kodak CX7330. I would like to ask if deleted files from the memory card (deleted using the camera) can still be recovered? Conversely, are there ways or softwares which permanently deletes any file? thanks!

yes, there is a possibility of recovering lost files from a storage media, including a memory card. You just need to purchase/install a good file recovery software that can recover lost or deleted files. I would personally recommend "O & O disk recovery" software. It can recover deleted files as well as wipe/bleach the storage media clean so that nothing previously stored can be recovered. You can also do a bit of googling to find other softwares and compare their prices and features.

Unfortunately, there are no ways whatsoever to recover any deleted files. When you delete something, you would think there would be a restore option set out but there is not. Camera companies really should work on that... I have learned the hard way that you cannot recover anything once you delete it... Sorry!

deleted files from the memory card can be recovered using various programs, like photorescue. However I think if you reformat the card it should be completely erased.
