That statement comes from the perspective of good people. From my experiences people who constantly do bad things don't feel what they do is bad. However, people who constantly do good things feel they are doing good.
In the majority of societies members are encouraged to do good to keep order and stability. A bad person can break down trust.
Also, I believe that if you have a conscious you feel horrible about yourself when you do bad things and feel great when you do good. So conscientious people do good for peace of mind.

Forgetting about what society calls "good and bad", or "good and evil", I like to go by what's healthy vs unhealthy for me. It's an individual choice, with the only exception of not harming others in the process.
Anything that still feels good to you, after you've weighed any negative consequences, is probably healthy for you. It may not be healthy for someone else, but hey, that's for them to worry about. That's the way I see it. :)

When u r bad,ppl'll look down on ya!They would just think u r just a litter or a junk that is takin' space in the community. When u r gd,ppl respect or admire you.They will just wish to befriend sumbdy lyke ya!And when u do gd stuffs tremendously,u will be published in e papers(in a good sense) while when u r bad,u will just mk a fool out of urself as it will come out in the news saying 'sMITH was caught for smuggling 200g of drugs.." u noe.Anyway,I just used the name smith.It does not have to do aniting wit ya,e livin' or e dead.

there is nothing good or bad in a particular sense. what is good for u may be bad for others & what is bad for u may be good for others. for example smoking is bad for u . but if u smoke it is good for the manufacturer.isn't it ? so, it is u who has to decide what is good & what is bad. being bad may turn out to be for good sometimes.& other way also.when mother scolds the child the child feels bad but it is for his/her good .isn't it ?so, there is nothing bad about being bad & nothing good about being good. it is the ciecumstances which count.

the disadvantage of being a bad people is that, you are commiting sins that have no exact and correct reason and you can commit a sin without knowing it yourself. for example, you've killed your father without any reason to give and you yourself just had funned doing it to your father. and the advantage of being a good people is that they just let the spirit of God come in to the door of their hearts and do things that can be very very very helpful to others.

Whats bad about beating your wife in public or stoning her to death if you even suspect a hint of infidelity or how about strapping explosives on the torsos of women and children sending them to blow themselves up along with anyone else, all to satiate their blood soaked God Allah!
What's bad about Burkas, Bombs, Bloodshed and Barbarism, for one thing that's the Muslim agenda for the West!

Learning to discern the difference between good and bad, then choose to follow the good at all cost, that is really good.
Refusing to do so, is really bad.

I say that about straight lines, why do we people like straight lines so much? say property lines for example, why do we like straight line between them?
Being bad of course can offen hurt others, but if you mean enjoying life in ways that are not so PC, then,, I blame religion,,
