How soon would you expect "Flucloxacillin" to work effectively and noticeably?

That is an antiobiotic so it should start working once you have a days dose in your body but to really see results I would think give it at least 3-4 days and that depends on severity of problem.
By the end of that week you should be able to really tell a difference and it should definetly not be worse so tell your doctor if its not working. Good luck
