My hair is naturally pretty dark brown and I color it blond myself. There is really no need to go to a salon and spend $100 to have it done. I buy the "les blondisemmes" version of L'Oreal Performing Preference (either LB01 or LB02). It's about $7-$9 at any drug strore. I have been using it for years and most people think I am a natural blond.

Go to a professional well worth the money and if you dont get the look you wanted they can re-do the 'do' for free. Take a photo/magazine clipping in and show them exactly the look that your trying to achieve... go with highlights versus a whole colour job...the growing out stage will be much kinder! good luck.....start calling now....see which salons are offering specials for back to school etc...

Get your hair professionally done. If you have dk. brown hair and try to dye it blonde yourself it will just turn orange/brassy. If you go to a salon, they remove all the pigment from your hair and then dye it the color you want

You need to make an appointment with a hair salon. Home bleach jobs look cheap.
