According to the Bible people were woke from the dead. Amongst them were Lazarus, a friend of Jesus, who were four days dead. Why did nobody documented what it looks like after you've passed on. Where do you go? What does it feels like? Can you still visits you relatives? Can you walk through walls? Can you watch somebody shower without them knowing that you are there? Will my grandpa know when I'm masturbating in the shower, for example?

Because it never happened. The story of Lazarus, like most of Biblical mythology, is an allegory.

The popular hype about afterlives and "near-death" experiences is a marketing campaign to sell books and take money from naive people in return for "psychic" experiences of some sort.

You will only be able to answer your own questions by dying. The living simply have no way of knowing anything about being dead.

Save your money and stop worrying so much about things you can never know and can't control.

Hey BUE-JER...,

You first have to accept that they were really dead. I personally do not believe Lazarus was dead. There are states where a body appears dead, only to wake - That is what happened, and it was made over the years into a bigger miracle. So, documenting the after life - only your Grandpa knows for sure.

You could post this in a more appropriate section too. Genealogy is for Genealogy questions.

I'm kinda guessing that your REAL question is the last question in your list.

There are HUNDREDS of books on what are referred to as "near death experiences". Those were written after the Gutenberg Press was invented. Not everyone who has a particularly novel experience is able or willing to write about it. Those hundreds of books record only a small percentage of the actual experiences.

Anyone who wrote of such things prior to the printing press would've been under the scrutiny and censorship of their community philosophy. Few if any of those documents would have survived.

Now - as for your final question. I believe that those beyond this earth can see everything that happens on this earth.

I don't happen to believe that they give a care about what we're doing here. They won't stick around if they catch you in the act.

There have been those awaken from the dead a nd it is called a miracle t oanswer the question of why Lazurus didnt write a book I have no idea but I do think that even if loved ones can see what we are doing it is the fact that if they ar ein heaven and they dont give a care and if they are in hell they are too busy trying to put the fire out to give a care

Perhaps at that time the question of an afterlife wasn't relevant, not the way it is today thanks to that time period. Now we have all sorts of documented evidence of people who have died and been resuscitated. Most of them claim the same thing, while others claim there is nothing. Perhaps it is all in your belief system. If you believe in an afterlife, maybe that is where you will go. If you believe in nothing, maybe there is nothing. If you are seriously interested in this topic there are tons of books on the subject. Check out your local library in the paranormal section.

Maybe it doesn't stay in memory, you can either be in and be aware of being in the land of the living or the land of the dead and the memory just doesn't cross over between them.
