I found a nice website with the origins of the concept of infinity, it is a interesting read.
Its personal invite only to the convention; oh well you must not be that knowledgeable.

If one believes in an eternal God, then it's not a far stretch to believe in an eternal Universe that has always been here. The concept of "God" could very well be the energy inside each atom throughout the Universe. You don't need a Creator to have the Universe. Once you introduce a Creator, you have to account for their existence. Who created them, and who created them, and so forth. Believing in an eternal Universe makes the most sense.

I have no idea what you're talking about with the convention...
But, as I understand it, mathematicians created infinity.

There is no god. It's a moot question. (Sorry. Guess you'll have to look up the definition for moot.)

Infinity wasn't *invented* by anyone (God thinking, "hmm, bored now, what shall I invent today...?") is simply *is*.
