hi guys, im thinking about asking my b/f to marry me...he wants a yellow lab, so im thinking about tying a note around his collar asking him. what do yall think about the woman asking the man. do u think he'll feel weird about it? :) its just that i dont think that he will ever get around to doing anytime soon, and we both want to get married, so, opinions would be helpful...

I personally would never feel comfortable asking a guy to marry me (that's his job!!), but it sounds like you have it all planned out. If you do decide to go through with it, more power to you, sister! Best of luck to you!

I think its a wonderful idea. You seem like a strong woman who knows what she wants. Just two weeks ago my sister-in-law asked her boyfriend. He said yes and the next day proposed back to her. I don't think the notion of males can be the only ones who ask for marriage applies anymore. Good luck.

I am a guy and I think it's a great idea. I am all for equality between the sexes and this includes courtship and marriage. If a girl likes a guy and he is doing a wooden block impersonation, just go up and ask him.

My wife ask me to marry her. and she did it on Valentine day at her mom best friend house. let just say that it was a great surprise and i love your idea of using the dog. so go for it and and best of luck. i have now been married of 8 year and have a 7 year old boy and loving life..

why not? i don't think there is any "prescribed norm" for this. It's just that men have always been the one to ask. I say go for it!!!
