I've had a long line of controlling relationships. I was single for over a year and did a lot of self-esteem work. About a year and a half ago I began dating someone new again. Things have going faboulsy and she seems so diffrenite than anyone else I've ever dated. Very caring. Last night an interaction occured that struck a cord and has got me thinking. She went upstairs and I stayed down to wash my face. She hollared down "you better not be brushing your teeth" (cause than she feels guilty for not brushing hers). I joked back that I was and her repsonse was "than your not getting any". I thought she was joking but when I got upstairs she acted mad at me. I told her I hadn't brushed my teeth and she was still angry, wouldn't even look at me and kept reading her nightly book. When she shut her light off and layed down I rolled over to give her a kiss goodnight and she simply lay there and let my lips touch hers (no kiss back).I wasn't looking to "get any" but she was actually mad me

She was also really quite and wierd on the way to work. Kind of snippy with me. The whole thing has freaked me out a bit and I plan to talk to her tongiht about it. But I just wanted to get a feel from you..do you find the whole interaction starnge? Maybe a red flag?

Let her cool down. Then talk to her and tell her you were playing around with her. Just kidding, that you would never intentionally hurt her feelings. That is why you felt it was safe to joke with her like that. Make sure she knows what she means to you. Then make sure you let her know she is the most beautiful and sexy thing on this planet and if you had to stop brushing for 10 thousand years just be with her you do it in heartbeat. Then apologize and promise that you will be more considerate in the future. And then never bring up that joke again.
Your question is if it bother you too much. Red Flag or not you have to make the decision if it was just to weird for you.

You know she could just be moody. I bet it is PMS, but not a nice way to act to you. Her saying ur not getting any is kind of odd. I would just talk to her. If she has any sense she will call you before tonight and tell you she is sorry. If she wants to be mad over something so stupid it sounds like she is really in mature. That might be a red flag. Just talk to her tonight. Don't waste ur day thinking about her actions....because you didn't do anything wrong.

sounds like she's very self-conscious about some sort of equity during sex. If she has bad breath, then you'd better have bad breath. I'm not sure that in and of itself is a red flag. It's just something to keep in mind. That she was still angry about it the next day is another matter. That's your red flag. Apparently, she's holds on to her anger.

I mean, sometimes we women just like to be vex for no apparent reason but, she seems to be taking it a little too far. You really need to take it slow with this woman. Also you must get to know someone very well before you start a serious relationship like living with them. Don't allow her to touch on your self esteem though. Later you should talk with her and let her know how you felt. And you must find out why she acted so weird

One thing I can tell you! It has nothing to do with brushing your teeth!!!! Its probably because she wanted you immediately with her and you were late. Desire would have converted itself into anger and depression and she behaved in that way!! Nothing alarming there!! Petty quarrels are boubd to be there and it becomes more sweeter when it is settled. You should have slowly brought her back to her desire but I think you did not do it last night!! She is mad at you for making her not mad at the bed!!!

That is definitely strange and a red flag, but sometimes people are just having a bad day or bad week. Talk to her about it, and wait to see if more stuff like that happens.

She has something else going on in her head, and is being pouty and taking it out on you as women tend to do sometimes. Don't put too much stock in it and see if things improve after several days.

It sounds kinda weird.. I think that you should consider it because of your past ralationships, but she may have been testing you to see if you c ould handle her or something like that. but you should definitely talk to her tonight and tell her how you feel because she may be a psycho and I don't think you're ready for that again...
