I have trouble meeting people. I take online classes and work in a very small company. I am very shy and quiet. I have a small group of friends that I hang out with a lot.

Here is my question...where did you shy people met your husbands/wifes/boyfriends/girlfriends? I feel like I am going to be single forever. Any advice?

I have tried the online thing, sometimes it works then sometimes it doesn't.

You can easily have your pick of men. Think of a sport you are interested in. Scuba, kayaking, rock climbing, sailing, flying, something that requires training. Go take a class and you will be able to meet lots of guys and get to know them, and have your pick and have three or four more on a waiting list.

I have your problem, but where can a guy do the same thing?

Try some hobbies, like a cooking class, swimming lessons, sailing. You need to widen your friend base. I was never shy but loved shy girls. Most of the time it was because I got to see life through their eyes.

Go out and have some fun, if you are shy it maybe more helpful if it's structured. Like in a gym, in some outdoor club. I reading circle. Go on a trip international. Just find some of your interest and go pursue your interest next thing you know you'll think how was it I didn't have a bf before.

I am a very shy person... when i just meet someone.... but i've had a boyfriend for two years... When i met him I was just walking outside like i usually do and he stopped me.. usually i don't stop to talk to men that i don't know because they creep me out and i'll get scared and my hands starts to sweat and stuff like that. But this time I wasn't scared and i forced myself to act normal. im not saying that it'll come all at once but i've been trying to act not shy for a while and i guess the time that i chose to was the right time. So what i'm telling you is that you have to work on it. Go out a little at once and before you know it you'll get over talking to guys. I'm not over beeing shy but at least now I can talk to guys and they can't tell that i'm terrified

I USED TO BE shy too. Hun its not going to happen over night Ok. PRACTICE,PRACTICE,PRACTICE. trust me.

What helped me to overcome being shy is taking acting classes Or acting out a role in different plays. Believe me it helps cause acting is acting like someone that your aren't.
So when u are home alone or in your room, stare in the mirror and practice making faces and acting like a person that you are not.
What also helped me is all i do is think "these people don't really know me anyway they don't know how i am." ( Then i choose a character to act similiar to so i can fit in that situation)
Just practice Ok and over the yrs i've become less and less shy. now i'm loud & horrible heehee just kidding. Good luck to ya Hope i helped ya.

There is no specific place to find love, husbands/ wifes/ bf/gf, so don't search too much. At the right time mr. right will find you. Then even shyness can not stop you from boldly grabbing the chance and moving on.
