Hmm... romantic thing for me. I was in the AirForce at the time, so I walked into work and put my hand in my pocket and I'm like what's this, I don't remeber putting this here. I found a sticky note saying "I love you, (Full Name)" The most romantic thing I did... one of them was to Buy her a 100 dollars of flowers (gerbera daisies her favorite) in a vase and had them delivered at her house and had her dad put them infront of her bed, for when she woke up in the morning. That was for Valentines day. So you can imagine the other things I might have done... that was usually the basic stuff... most other stuff was larger... Like Dinner outside, motorcycle ride to Treasure Island, watching the sunset over Alcatraz, followed by fireworks, then a ride home on the motorcycle.

The most romantic thing anyone has ever done for me happened by accident and shocked both of us. She and I worked together, I was her supervisor and we had great admiration for one another, how we carried ourselves, how real we were, our mutual sense of humor, our level of commitment to job and families at home. I was married and she was single, but it was when we both were layed off the same day with a group of people because the company went under that as we all were saying our good byes she and I embraced and kissed as though we had been married for years (just a quick smooch on the lips). We both stepped back and looked at each other shocked at what we had done, but in the eyes we comunicated a thousand conversations about our soul-mated-ness, about how we knew this life wasn't for us, about how we missed each other and would be together again someday in another life. We let go of each others hands, teared up and walked away. I've never seen or heard from her since. On the job we never knew that feeling was there, only for that moment in time did we have it and it was gone. That was 20 years ago, and I'll never forget it.

I was in Branson, Missouri watching a concert, knowing that a man with an exquisite horse and buggy were in front. I told my sister-in-law how awesome it would be to go for a ride in the horse and buggy. My husband and brother-in-law were out of the theater a few minutes earlier than us and had already sent things up to go for the heavenly ride. Surprisingly we hadn't told either of the men what we wanted to do. So of course surprise is the element of success!!!

He gave me everything ... He knows me in and out.

When I am down, he is there
When I am sad, he is there
When I am happy, he is there

I don't mean he is there literally, but he is FANTASTIC, so to me, he is the most ROMANTIC guy - my HUSBAND.
