why is it that the more fundamental in your beliefs about God, the more ignorant and blind you become ??? People of institutional faiths refuse to question the very things they are basing their entire lives upon. If their God is one of compassion then the least he/she sorry always a he can do is allow them to ask why ???

Allow me to blow your questions apart one by one...

"why is it that the more fundamental in your beliefs about God, the more ignorant and blind you become ?" The more fundamental religious people are those that have skimmed the surface of a religion and have NOT got to the heart of the religion. All religions teach tolerance, it is only those who skim through the teachings and find the parts that appeal to them who wish to harm others and shut their minds to other interpretations.

"People of institutional faiths refuse to question the very things they are basing their entire lives upon. If their God is one of compassion then the least he/she sorry always a he can do is allow them to ask why ?" Erm? In the Christian faiths, the birth of mankind was caused by a God who learned the error of his selfish ways. I know that many Christians will disagree, but, look at it again... he punished Adam and Eve by throwing them out of the Garden, and then watches over them and their descendants.

If God did not allow us to ask "Why", we would not be having this discourse, the Internet would not work, telescopes would not allow us to see the depths of the universe and we certainly would not be able to save or extend lives through medicine. God allowed Adam and Eve to keep the knowledge and inquisitiveness that they showed, this has been passed down to the people of today.

Why does God do all these things? Because he loves us and wants us to achieve our full potential - just like any parent wishes of their children. Parents do not like to see their children fighting, so perhaps the time has come for us to start acting like humans and not as Muslims or Christians; Jews or Gentiles; Black or White; Sunni or Shi'ite.

More religious means more blind. Religion is a barrier between an individual and God. Religion exists in the name of God and that is most misguiding point in it. The life puzzle is made so cryptic, that only the most wise will come out as winner.

Life is a talent hunt by the Creator and do you like to take your chance. If you get in the right track, surely you will be a winner. Then only what it matters is how big or small. He has His purpose behind it and while living our life itself we have the opportunity to try for eternal opportunity as well.

The more people are religious the more they get ignorant actually they are not getting ignorant they are now becoming aware about salvation, self awareness open their minds to all the questions of salvation's because people alone wants to be save. It looks like they are ignorant because sometimes there are questions that cannot be answered right away and it will remain a questions in their minds that makes them seems to be ignorant. It is only my personal opinion no mean to often others opinion regarding this matter.

How can you say people of institutional faiths refuse to question their beliefs? I for one have and I know of many others. Some have ended up lapsing, some lapse to return later and some remain committed. I have to say your question is nonsense.
Please open your eyes, it seems you have a very limited knowledge on the subject.

I don't think that's necessarily true. I know some people who blindly follow whatever they're told, but I know a lot of others who believe that people of all faiths deserve to be respected. Maybe it's that the people consider themselves more religious, but they really aren't. After all, the real fundamentals are the actual words of Jesus, not some preacher or other leader who twists them to serve his own ends.

I believe that it is ignorant to assume all people of one religion are the same as the one person that you might have been in contact with.Just because they might believe the same basic religion does not automatically mean that they are carbon copies of each other.I also believe that God made us to have independent thought, not to just blindly believe whatever people of our same religion might be saying. If it matches up to the Bible, o k, but please try to be more understanding of other people's belief system...obviously it is working for them...perhaps you need to find something that will work for you in resolving this obvious hatred and intolerance for beliefs other then your own

Not always true .. more likely that the truly ignorant hide behind false facades as they dont have the courage to stand alone (ie God MADE me blow up those people) as opposed to true believers who will stand in front of a tank ready to mow them down in order to make a personal stand for what they believe in.

Firstly God always answers prayers. Whether you ask for something specific; whether you ask for forgiveness or whether you ask why, he always answers. Sometimes he answers in ways that others don't understand. When you have a relationship with God he answers in a way only you will understand. He doesn't always give you everything you ask for cos like a parent, he knows that if you have everything, you will get spoilt. He answers prayers in his own time because to him time means nothing. He exists outside of time and space in the spiritual world. Why do you need to ask why anyway? Will it make you feel any better knowing why something bad happened. Give it some serious thought.

I agree partially. Fundamentalists do tend to have a harder time accepting things relating to the natural world and instead, only focus on the supernatural. However, not all fundamentalists are "ignorant."

God calls us to reason together, we have spiritual leaders and as christians we are always in growth and are encouraged to counsel one another. We do all ask and have questions, but my question to you is why woulld a christian go to a non-christian for help. they will not trust someon who is anti-christ. Believe me mate christians ask better questions than are being asked on here.
