Blasphemy against the Spirit
- Therefore, I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven people, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven (Matthew 12:31)
Is the sin of attributing to Satan
- But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, "This man drives out demons only by the power of Beelzebul, the prince of demons." (Matthew 12:24)
What is the work of the Spirit of God
- But if it is by the Spirit of God that I drive out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. (Matthew 12:28)
We really do not know why Jesus said this sin is unforgivable.
With love in Christ.

Jesus said.. All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven forgiven unto men:but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.Matthew;12:31
When the Holy Ghost moves you to do or say something or the Holy Ghost speaks through someone else for you and you deny it you have sinned against the Holy Ghost.

To answer your question, you would need to read the KING JAMES version of the Bible. Mark 4:22-29. But I can also put this in plain laymen's terms.: Say, for example, someone you cared about very much, upset you, you get a gun and blow them away, and it doesn't bother you in any way at all. At some point in time you were apparently under conviction for some wrong doing(sin), the Holy Spirit was dealing with you. When you don't feel that convicting spirit, you have gone beyond the point of no return. Mark 4:29. "but he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation."

The LDS believe: (D&C 132:27)
27 The blasphemy against the Holy Ghost, which shall not be forgiven in the world nor out of the world, is in that ye
1. commit murder wherein ye shed innocent blood, and
2. assent unto my death, (Want to kill Jesus as satan does)
3. after ye have received my new and everlasting covenant,
(Knowing that Jesus is the Christ)
saith the Lord God; and he that abideth not this law can in nowise enter into my glory, but shall be damned, saith the Lord.
In other words, it is for a murderer to want to kill Jesus knowing He is the Christ. I.E. Satan, Cain, Judas

blasphemy against the Holy Spirit means denying Him,(saying you dont believe in Him), after you have already known Him personally, (having believed in Him and accepted Jesus as your personal saviour)

The blasphemy comes from having an experience with God, then verbally, physically, and spiritually denying it through your actions, words, and future influences.

Blasphemy is denying God, that there is a God, that God is not who He claims to be. It is the only unforgivable sin that we can perform, all else can be forgiven with repentence. How many people do we know that deny the existence of God? Too many. Scarey, isn't it?
