Happy eating. But nowadays Hindus are not trailing far behind - many of them eat all sorts of meat Do you know that there is a race in the north-eastern part of India who, I was told, savour the canine variety They are not Hindus, most probably Christians and why not?.
But what modern medicine men say about food - is animal flesh good for human consumption? Perhaps needs some reading and thinking.

Hindus had a lead in the mundane matter of indulging in thinking things out some millennium before most other races were still busy in the all important task of chasing continually for cows, sheep and pigs. The gods of Hindus told them many things such as the probable origin of the universe, how to conduct oneself in life and how not to get involved in unnecessary violence. They left the choice of food to discretion.

Could he who asked you to love your neighbours also tell you to slaughter other species?
Incidentally, Hindus have 330 million gods and goddesses and not a few dozens. But what difference does it make if it’s three (padre, son & spectre) or 330 m?

Not all Hindus are against eating meat. Some are. Iam a Hindu, i was brought up as a Vegetarian, but now i eat meat. Eating Cow is generally avoided by Hindus, since cow is given respect as equivalent to mother, as cows milk is fed to the just born once the mother stops to feed.

the answer is in the history not in theology popat.
ancient Indian history tells that Hindu Rajas also used to offer cows flash to their guests and for that they used to slaughter the healthiest cow or Buffalo.
But later on they realized that the bovines are useful for ploughing the fields and from then the idea of shunning the meat evolved and they started to consider cows sacred. and thereafter they totally ban all types of flash.
i am not a Hindu but i am an India and i have strong objection if you drag indian culture to this forum.

Their kalki-avatar( their messiah ) will be a meat eater

* “My follower will be a man circumcised, without a tail (on his head), keeping beard, creating a revolution, announcing call for prayer (Adan) and will be eating all lawful things. He will eat all sorts of animals except swine”. (Bhovishya Puran)

Cows are sacred to Hindi.

How did you expect to get an answer to this question if you told them not to answer? You're just being a dick aren't you?
