Yes, it's true. Green tea is very high in antioxidants, and it also helps boost your metabolism, so it can aid in weight loss. One word of warning, however: Don't buy the hype from the Snapple commercials. Their green tea (and Lipton's) is full of high fructose corn syrup, which is the father of all dietary evil -- it's the same stuff they put in soft drinks that can make you gain 15 pounds in a year just by drinking one a day. If you want to drink green tea to help you lose weight, make sure it's 100% green tea with no additives. You can use Splenda or lemon juice or even cinnamon sticks to take the edge off the bitter flavor.

It doesn't directly burn calories, but along with all it's other amazing qualities it does help speed up your metabolism, scientifically proven.
Also I have basically overdosed on it a couple of times and passed out, so it definately speeds up more with more intake!
I buy pure green tea bags in supermarkets it's easy to find and drink it hot. Let it brew for a while to get the most out of it!

No, but it is a good antioxidant.

The only idea that I had heard of in drinking anything to lose weight is ice water. The idea is that water is zero calories. And that ice tends to drop the body temperature and calories must be burned to counteract the cold.

I doubt this is a significant weight loss idea, but there is a slight bit of logic to it.

i don't think so but it does help you in other ways as it can clear toxins, reduces the risks of some cancers and it also contains less calories than milky tea . i prefer fruit teas tho cos they taste much better especially peppermint.

Not sure about a diet, but it has definite anti-viral properties and is loaded with anti-oxidants that help prevent cancer. It might help with a diet by making the stomach feel full, temporarily.

I don't know about burning calories, but it is a great detoxifier. When you detox, you lose fat tissue. Our bodies create fat to encapsulae toxins and prevent them from being absorbed in our vital organs. Lose the toxins, lose the fat!
