Going to call someone to see if there's a possibility of a second date. Should the phone call be quick and to the point (I had a great time, we should do it again)? Or more involved and lengthy? I know usually the first phone call is just to set up the first date only but is there such a thing as too short of a phone conversation after that?

Don't worry about the second date; call her just because you care enough to talk to her, at all, without ulterior motives. If you can't do that, what's the point of being anywhere with her?

Yes. There is such a thing as too short of a phone conversation. It might become awkward if you don't wanna talk for very long. Just let it flow, and you'll know the perfect time to ask about a second date.

Well make 2 phone calls.. the first today asking just hey I was thinking on you and I would like to know how are u doing.. .. And that's it. (of course during the phone u try to understand if there is happyness from other side to hear u, and what he/she is thinking too...) be smart..
If u feel that the other person is interested in a second date too, well in 2 days you make the second call..to set up the second date..
Good luck..

It's OK for the call to be brief. Just ask her if she would like to go on a date this weekend. (By the way, the deadline for asking for a Saturday night date is Wednesday. This shows respect for her schedule). After you ask and she says "yes", you might want to chat for a minute about a new movie that is showing and if she would like to see it. Then just go ahead and wrap up the conversation if you like.

Make the phone call and see how it goes. Don't create rules and play games. Just call her.
