First off you need to give God 10% of your income at your local New Testament Church. Second we are to help the poor, but check out if the people who are ministering to the poor are on the up and up. Non profits are good if they are on the up and up also. I don't give to politics or televangelist. They have others that give to them. Plus you have to be sure that they are true, and not faking what they believe. You will give an account on what you do with your money.

In my opinion the best place would be to donate money would be to help a family with children that could really use it. Not someone or an organization that you don't know where it is going.
