I'm an amateur composer of instrumental music and have always written my staffs manually. To work faster and more precisely I'm looking for a program to help me do that. Now, I'm not looking for a tablature program, but one to construct and print the real thing: you know, the five lines with dots-thing... I will be grateful if someone would give me a hint in the right direction. ;) Pim, Utrecht, the Netherlands

Drawing out your preferred template (ie on Paint) sounds like a good idea, alternatively you could splash out a bit more on a five-line ink roller available at some music stores.

A tablature program also helps you print out your lines you know, too bad there aren't that many free ones nowadays.
