Bush said WMD, Powell waving vials at the UN. All lies, a charade. How does it feel when you see soldiers die for a politiican, for money, for oil and for vested interests very far from freedom, equality and peace?

You would think that we had learned our lesson in Vietnam. I am a Vietnam vet. I cringed when Bush and Chaney got elected. Bush managed to avoid Vietnam by joining the National Guard. This was the escape used by all the spoiled rich kids at the time. During his campaign, he touted his National Guard record as if he was some kind of patriot, when in fact he was a rich kid dodging the draft.
I can tell you from my experience 35 years ago that it makes you quite angry when your life is placed in jeopardy for a political agenda. It makes you twice as angry when 35 years later your son's life is placed in jeopardy for the same reason.
We had no business being involved in Vietnam, just as we had no business going into Iraq. And being led into Iraq by a man with the character of Bush, a coward, is even more irritating.

First of all I hate to see anyone die, however as the wife of a US soldier who has spent close to 3yrs in Iraq, I will tell you this.
IF YOU ARE SO IGNORANT THAT YOU BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU HEAR OR SEE IN THE NEWS THEN YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO BE ON THE COMPUTER.
First of all you have NO idea what was actually found or not. The general public will never know. As for the ,money, oil and vested interest, sure maybe that was a bonus, but not the actual reason. As for the freedom, equality and peace, definitely. You will never know the life those people were suffering through. You will never know the feeling of finding a mass grave, where entire families were bound, gagged and shot execution style. You will never know what it is like to watch your baby starving to death, UNTIL a group of American Soldiers come to your door, after cleaning out their own bank accts to to bring formula, groceries, and diapers. You will never know what it is like to have a 7yr old girl run up to you and say THANK YOU mr american soldier. Because now she doesn't have to worry about practing her families religion of Christianity, and she can finally wear that cross necklace she's been hiding. But I guess thats alright with you, then how would you know!

Do you even know how to think for yourself? You're spouting the same old, tired liberal hogwash they started back in 1990 when the senior President Bush first sent troops to Iraq. Got news for you, my wrongfully informed friend: They found HUGE stockpiles of WMDs in Iraq. You can believe the Clinton News Network if you like, but I'll take the word of my brothers and sisters in uniform who have actually done tours in Iraq and have seen the stockpiles with their own eyes (not to mention the 200+ captured or killed Al-Qaeda operatives, also seen with their own eyes).

What do you think wars are fought over? Causes for war as as varied as grains of sand. It is not the place of soldiers to question those things. Of course they do it being humans but thier job is to follow orders and do the best they can, which is exactly what our armed forces are doing. Furthermore they are under extreme pressure and are attacked daily by fanatics who would kill you, me and any other American they could get thier hands on. If we werent there taking them on how long before they were infiltrating here?....Our military is doing a very difficult job under difficult circumstances they are too busy staying alive to worry about the philosophical grounds for conflict.

How does it feel to have someone sacrifice their life for you and save 1,000s of lives overseas even though you are ungrateful?

PS-WMDs were found, and that wasn't the only reason for war. Bush did not do a good job of stating that.

Saddam Hussein was a WMD. Get a life, the armed forces are doing their job so just get off their back.

First of all, if you ever talk to anyone in the military who is fighting for this country, you would realize they are doing it for their families, homes, and future generations. They are not dying for oil, politicians, or money. They are fighting in hopes that they will make a difference.

You'd think it would make people think. I cannot tell you how many people I've met and heard of who can't stand the current admin. eve after they voted for the SOB TWICE. Most come to an understanding and live a truthful life, others come here to vent behind a smiley face.

I think that's why so many of the wacko neocons on this site can't even see the truth when it's staring right at them. It drives them crazy and they start spewing some nasty names.
