Since arthritis is an inflammation it would be very advisable not to eat too much meat (at least not too much red meat). Red meat is higher in fat than white meat and can make inflammation worse. Also meat is high in protein which can make inflammation worse, too.
You would want to go on an anti-inflammatory diet:
*eat as natural as possible
*Not too much processed food
*many vegetables (steamed but be careful with tomatoes) and fruits, organic if possible
*a big factor in inflammation is deydration, so make sure you drink enough water or tea
*uses natural oils such as olive oil (not too much butter)
*consider to take some supplements such as Viatmin B, A (fat soluble!!), Vitamin C (anti inflammatory)....

I am in the health field and this list could go on and on.
I copy you some internet links in the answer and you can check them out.
Good luck with your health.
