14 pounds in a stone. 14 x 11 = 154 plus 7 for the half = 161. Don't they teach anything at school anymore?

161 lbs
But when you say 11 and a half do your scales read;
11 st 5lbs
or
11st 7lbs
because there are 14lbs in a stone so 11 and half = 8st7
if it read 11-5 then you weigh 159 lbs

As everyone (apart from one retard) has already said: 14 pounds in a stone, so it's 161 pounds.

You do not, however, need to know your weight in pounds. What we need to happen is for Americans to learn what a stone is!

(And just to check in case you don't know: pounds and stone are both from the imperial system, which is why there is an exact whole number conversion between them. Kilograms are the metric system, in which you weigh about 74kg (I think)).
