Your dog's teeth may have to be professionally cleaned if they have a lot of plaque build-up. To maintain healthy teeth, brush teeth at least once a week (some even brush their dog's teeth daily), feed your dog hard biscuits, and give them real bones for chewing (NEVER cooked) - you can find sterilized beef bones in most pet stores. Just make sure you check them regularly for splinters and cracking. I'm not a huge fan of things like rawhide and greenies as the can cause bowel obstruction and other problems. Hartz also make doggie breath strips (they look like Listerine Pocket-packs :-P) that make dogs' breath smell minty fresh for a couple hours anyway.

Give it some peanut butter. Also you should check the teeth and see if there is plaque build-up. If that's the case you may want to consider taking him to the vet for a cleaning, where they scrape it all off. This can avoid the dog losing teeth later due to tartar build-up. You can get the dog toothbrushes and some doggie toothpaste and brush the teeth as well.

Tarter builds up on the dogs teeth and it needs to be removed.
Either by the vet, (had this done on my dog) or continuous chewing on bones.
There are alot of breath fresheners in the pet stores check them
out to.
good luck

You can brush them with dog safe tooth paste or you can give the dog some dog treats with some alcohol free mouth wash

If you have taken the dog to a vet, and they can't find anything wrong, brush their teeth with dog toothpaste, give them treats with parsley. Sprinkle small amounts parsley on their food.
