I'm 22 and despite going away to university and now living and working away from my parents I'm still a virgin :$ It's not through choice either!!

Obviously not normal, but does this make me really really wierd!?

My question is has anyone else out there taken this long or longer to get started? (other than for religious reasons)

P.S: I'm not asking for advice though. I'm probably a bit geeky but not mentally so, not ugly and I do go out to parties and bars. Come close with a few girls so sure it's just a matter of time.

Babe you're not abnormal!!! There's nothing wrong with still being a virgin. Do you know that the best sex I ever had was with a virgin. honest!! I find that most guys go into sex thinking they are god's gift and they know exactly what a woman wants and let me tell you - there's not many of them out there who do!! This guy was great - I could tell him exactly what I liked without him getting offended and it was bloody fantastic!! He thought so too!! Don't go giving it up just for the sake of losing it. I've read questions from some guys on here who have been virgins over 30yrs old so you're not weird or abnormal! You'll find it's actually quite common- it just doesn't seem like it because all the loud mouths out there brag about what they've done while the quieter ones sit back and say nothing. So it may seem like you're the only one but you're definitely not! Best of luck at Uni!! And with the sex thing - it will happen!! I promise! :)

I was a late starter too. I'm now 48 and wish I still hadn't opened that can of worms other than the two great kids I have. Be content to be what and who you are. As soon as you have this major life change it comes with great unforeseeable consequences. Be very very sure what and who. If they are even remotely worth it they'll wait.

Maybe you are giving off a vibe ...alot of women don't want to have to train a guy... get a friend or professional to get you through the first time and you'll notice girls know when you've had s-e-x and want their turn if they think you might be any good!

My partner was 23 when he lost his virginity yet you wouldn't think so if you knew him. He's good looking, clever and streetwise and always has been.
He's 38 now and he tells me he's quite proud of the fact he was a 'late starter'.

You are not weird, its just that you have different priority's at the moment. Do not stress when the right person comes along it will happen and it will be a special moment in your life.
