July 4th in the middle of the day and it's 40 degrees outside, that's pretty cold. You must be at one of the poles, I don't know which one so I'll take a guess, South Pole? So you must be somewhere in Antarctica.

LOL I hate to guess my home state but there is some truth in the "cold" jokes people pass around.
The temp. variation in the village I grew up in was from about +75 - +80F in the summer to -60 - -20 during the winter months.
