No don't eat them i work on the motorways though unleaded petrol has been around for years, there still the good old diesel car or truck which give out heavy oil emissions so if you want wild blackberries find a nice open woodland or field miles away from motorways or busy roads and pic them there or go and get some from sainsburys.

I do pick blackberries and eat, but only those that are high up, like as far from the ground as possible...guys and dogs might have pissed on them if they are close to the ground....so watch out.

Yes its absolutely fine. Just wash them well.
They've actually got less pesticide on than commerically grown backberries as the Council just ignores them. That said you've got the car exhaust fumes.
Just give them a good wash and they're fine.
I actually find they taste nicer than shop bought as they're so naturally grown!

Totally safe.
But I always wash fruit before i eat it.
Might have birds poopy on it.

It is not unsafe because of lead. It might be unsafe because of dirt / germs. Wash them well and enjoy

wow...don't eat them , There probably full of pesticide that the council has sprayed on them....!!! ...Stay well clear , Even washing will not remove the chemical as its Water proof..!!!
