You can use the extra weight that you have right now as fuel for your work outs.If you're trying to gain mass then cardio should be avoided at this point.Every pound of muscle that you gain metabolizes an additional 100 calories per day.Weight lifting is far superior to cardio for losing(proper spelling) weight because the thermogenic benefit lasts for up to 15 hours afterwords. If you do decide to do cardio it should always come after your weight training since you've already depleted your glycogen stores and your body is more likely to burn fat then.Keep your protein intake high to receive more of the thermogenic benefit and to help build the muscles.

Start with Cardio to start to drop weight and inches then about a month after you start your cardio program add a weight lifting program. Make sure you do research about what type of lifting program you want. Some programs bulk you up while others tone you up. But you do need both cardio and weight training to get desired results.

If you are trying to bulk up you may want to look into supplements,,..... good luck

don't think so much about weight. Think about how you are going to change your lifestyle to one that is more active.

Don't think about not eating, or depriving yourself of eating- but rather eating more often, and eating more fruits and vegetables. Then- there won't be room for anything else.

Then... do this for the rest of your life. Your body will follow

You need to do both so that you don't drop all the weight and end up with loose skin.

muscles help you burn more calories. by working on cardio and building muscle in the same workout program you will get much better results. calisthenics like pushups, dips, burpees, situps etc. are a great way to start and do not require a gym membership. look it up on the net.
